I report on markets and politics in developing nations, as well as projects and investigations, for Bloomberg News. I’m also the co-director of AAJA JCamp, a multicultural training program for some of the top high school journalists in the United States.
I am based in New York after stints in Peru, Morocco and Spain. Before joining Bloomberg, some highlights included writing a cover story for the Middle East edition of Forbes in Arabic, covering a 156-mile ultramarathon through the Sahara and getting a call from the mom of Bon Iver lead singer, Justin Vernon, asking for a copy of my story to frame.
When I'm not reporting, I enjoy hunting down the next vegan café gem, running through the backwoods and dreaming up big projects.
